As I sit here on my couch, my ears ringing as they do after any show, I am in total disbelief that we just said good bye to With the Punches. Not only did they play incredible music, but they seemed to be pretty incredible people as well. I can still remember, going to The Classroom in Middletown to see them for the very first time. The bar was pretty gross, or at least I thought so, and not to mention the show was more than an hour late because who ever was supposed to plow the parking lot never showed up. It was nothing short of a totally ridiculous evening but, seeing them took all the ill feelings away and encouraged me to continue to follow them around the area. They would soon become a part of my daily routine and I still stand amazed that I did not burn a whole in my Keep It Going CD. After going to the most incredible show ever this evening, I feel like an era in my life has ended. I still don’t know that it has sunken in that I will not have the fortune of seeing them play again, or at least for a very long time, but damn was it good while it lasted. Some of my most favored memories revolve around running through crowds at their shows that displayed so much passion and enthusiasm like I had never seen before. Thank you so much for all of your hard work and time With the Punches, its effects with truly last a life time.

If this is where it ends, it’s better to know now, that we’re with friends…
